This year we are doing a 'Lenten Project'. This Easter we are raising money for the charity 'Reaching the Unreached' (RTU). This charity was founded in 1975 by Brother James Kimpton in rural Tamil Nadu.Initially it provided foster family care for orphaned children in India. Now 'Reaching the Unreached' serves the poor of its area in many different ways including providing a secure and loving enviroment for over 700 children through its children's villages.
One of their projects is to build houses in villages in India. £750 buys a solid cement block house with a cooking oven, bathingplace, electricity, and basic household essentials.
Our aim is to raise £1500 to build 2 houses.
Foundation Stage are selling cakes which have been huge success in the past.
We are also holding a Fun Run/Walk for Foundation and Key Stage 1 on Monday 11 April and Key stage 2 on Tuesday 12 April.
