year 6 first thoughts

We like the reading challenge because we think it is fun. All of our group like to do the times tables challenge because we get better levels. Our group liked when we had to do the CATS test।

Year 6k -Frst thoughts

We like the mutiplication challenge , reading challenge and the maths lessons in Year 6. We like the art lesson.

Year 6 - First Thoughts

Year 6 is more tough than year 5, because we get loads more homework, especially in maths! We also have a reading challenge, which we find quite interesting, and a new P.E. teacher. We all enjoy our after-school clubs such as football, rugby and netball.

Our challenges this year are: improving levels and targets and revising for SATS.
We feel sad that it is our last year in St. Gregory's Catholic Primary School but we are still quite happy that we will be moving into secondary school.

Our other challenges are: head girl, head boy sponsorships and going on school trips.

Year 6-First Thoughts

We like the multiplication challenge, as well as the 20 minutes maths challenge. Also the spellings are fun as well as challenging. It's difficult to be the top year in the school, because we have to be responsible, well mannered, a good model and to produce a good level of work. Mental maths tests are difficult but we manage them. The Sats tests are difficult because it is the last test we have in the primary school. We like maths because we learn new things as well as playing mathematical games. Also we like the reading challenge.

Year 6-First Thoughts

We are proud of being in Year Six because we are at the top of the school and like more of a challenge. We like playing in the nets at lunch time because the ball won't go far away it will just stay in the goal and it won't go over. None of us like Maths because it is not fun, but, we still get good grades.

All of us like P.E because it keeps us fit and we get to play games like, Rounders, kwik cricket, Dodgeball etc... those are the games we are good at playing. Also in Year Six because we get to sit on the benches in assembly.

Year Six-First Thoughts

We like art in Year 6 because it is creative, we also like music because Mr Clowes makes it really cool and enjoyable. P.E is fun because we do more things independently.

We do not particularly like that we do not get to go to our bags until the end of the day because if we leave something there we cant get it again but, we are getting used to it. In addition we dislike our desks because most of them get spoilt and the wells are not big enough.

The final thing we like is Activate because we are fit!

On Friday we had a Singathon to raise money for Rwanda and we had sponsor forms so it was quite hard getting sponsors but at the same time it was fun.

Year 6:First Thoughts

We like in Year 6, P.E, Art, Music, ICT, Design Technology, Observational Drawing also other things we do in school that is fun.
The challenges we are facing is the test we have to do during the week, homework we get every week, the multiplication challenge, spellings and the division test and how we have to do our work also the SATS TEST!
We feel like being a Year 6 person, a little bit more confident, but we get nervous sometimes because of the work and homework we get. Also how we have to give more information and discuss things.
The whole school did a singathon on Friday. Each class had to sing for 20 minutes. We all had to raise money for sponsers, also whoever could raise the most money.

Yr 6 First Thoughts.

We feel that Year 6 is challenging, because we get a lot homework and it is hard work and we have to try our hardest to achieve our goals to do well and impress our teachers;
to not only do well in life and in school. We enjoy the time we spend in Year 6 because
we not only have good friends, we have great teachers too and they teach enjoyable
subjects to learn from.We also find it fun and interesting because all of the exciting subjects that we experience; for example science experiments. We feel more confident now we're in Year 6 ;it is a lot more harder than we thought. The spellings are a lot more difficult, we only had 20 spellings in Year 5;now we have about 30.
