A Letter: Year 6 Class 2007-8

Dear Year 6

I'm sure the Head teacher, Year 6 teachers and LSAs will agree with me when I say what a pleasure it was to work with you this year and how pleased we are with what you have achieved.

I would particularly like to mention your enthusiasm and, in some cases, real commitment to working on the blog - producing an online record of your year as an inspiration to future year 6 groups. Many people have mentioned how impressed they are and this is largely down to you. You kept to the rules and worked sensibly and, as a result, your blog is enjoyed by people from all over the world.

I hope that you will continue to come back and visit us here and let us know how you are doing in your new schools! Although you can no longer post directly, you can reach us through the comments box and also by e-mail through the St Gregory's address given on the home page >>>

All that remains is for me to wish you well, stay safe and keep in touch.

With blessings,

Miss W

The Good Old Days

As always, one of the highlights at the end of the academic year is the good old musical extravaganza. In this case entitled, "The Good Old Days"! Parents were treated to rousing numbers performed by Year 6, complete in their Victorian costumes, and heartily sang to the pleasure of all. (I'm starting to sound like Mr C). Listen below to some of the rehearsal takes (mp3) as a reminder of a great evening.

Credits to: Mrs Sefton (pianoforte), Mr Clowes (director/performer), Mr Place (approval and all round bonhomie) and the entire Year 6, who worked extremely hard to perfect their performances.
