Poem To Our Headmaster

Year 6 Poem

Last year the poem was filled with sorrow and we will not steal or borrow
From the line that state we will weep,
But really and truly in our heart it's filled with much love so deep.
We have had a blessed year despite what others think or say,
We know our head and will back you to the end.
We are going to pastures new and heaven help the student
Who will try to fill our shoes.
To you, Mr McMorrow, we say good-bye
And we hope this time you will cry.

I have enjoyed my time here showing off every good work that I have done.
Of every moment and of every day I thank you for the morals and values I have earned.
To my new friends I will share and take the school motto with me through each year,
I thank you very much and hope my presence bless you as much.

What about me, as you can't forget as my mother is here, something you will not regret,
My brother is here too so my face you won't miss but you will miss my happy little bliss.
My songs, my poems and my voice you will miss so much
My heart aches at the thought of this.

I know you won't miss me at all, no really, with all my siblings here you'd be glad I'm gone,
It's my quiet nature you will surely miss the most.
I'll take with me the peace the school gives and the joys that the teachers give,
With this I pray a prayer that this school will be the best forever.

So with this we say good-bye and hope next year this school will be at its best,
We will not lose faith and keep trusting in God
We bless you Mr McMorrow and we love you so much
As you are indeed the best.

Thanks to my drama teacher, she busted my acting skills.
Thankyou.

D.O. (year 6)

To Mr McMorrow thank you for all you have done and all the hard work you have put in to this school thank you so much
R.B. (year 6)

I will miss you so much and I will take the School motto with me like I said in the poem. May God bless you in your next couple of years and you are the best. Goodbye and I will visit you ; hopefully, every term, see you soon

Love T.PL (year 6)

Thank you to our student teachers, Miss P and Miss G who completed their teaching practice with Year 6 this term. We wish them the best of luck in their careers (and hope we haven't scared them into changing their minds...)!!

Good luck.

Wall Displays

June Displays

Click on the photo to take a look at some of the fantastic work year 6 have been doing recently. Their english work has been very topical and 6CL displays some of their pieces on global warming. 6P's art display takes us from the modern to the ancient with some truly lovely representations of Egyptian scrolls. Enjoy!

SATs are over

Finally SAT'S are over , we had about 9 Sat's papers all together :( .

I think the easiest one was the reading one , because you only had to read the text and then answer questions ;the hardest were the science tests.

Today we got home made cake from Mrs B .

I feel a little happy and quite nervous because I don't know what next class I will get in and will any of my friends be with me in the same class?

Time For A Story

Our Year 6 group have recently been practising the very important (and difficult) art of written storytelling. It seems very easy to open a book and read a great story but, as Year 6 found out, it takes a little bit more than just writing down the first thing that comes into your head! Character, plot, pace and style all play their part and so we would like to offer you some of the best of their work, available to view on the link below.

There are three short stories to read: 'The Man Who Thought He Had Survived', 'Scared To Death', and 'L.A.' - and they are well worth a read...
