Abington Park Museum

Last week, on Wednesday, we went to Abington Park Museum. It was all about Tudors. We went into our House Groups and did many different things, such as cooking. We had a lot of fun there and we found out many things, for instance, only poor people ate vegetables. Rich people did not eat vegetables at all. Rich people ate lots of meat, which was served on silver plate with expensive decorations.

RM Maths

Hi, it is EN here to tell you about the amazing RM maths. I have nearly finished the whole scheme! I just want to let you know that is a very clever thing and will really help you with your maths. When you get into year six you can go every morning! It is educational and fun!

Christmas Truffles

In Year 6, Wednesday this week we have been making Fairtrade truffles for Christmas as a gift for our family. As soon as we could, we put our truffles in the fridge to set but they weren't in for very long ,so our science teacher, Mrs Goodman, advised us to put them in our fridge at home for half an hour. Our families were able to enjoy the truffles that we made. They were very nice.

ingredients:

55g of cream cheese

55g of icing sugar

55g of crushed biscuits

30g of Fairtrade cocoa powder

Terrifying Test Week

This week , the whole of year six including Ms Keating's class have been doing tests for the past few days. We must say, it has been hectic and difficult for all in year 6, but we all hope that we have achieved our goals for the purpose of reaching our high levels in all of our core lessons which are Maths, English, Science and R.E. It is all over though and we recently received our test results and they are quite good because we are supposed to get these remarkable marks next year in, probably, March or April but so far they are really good test results especially for us because I am a level 4 so I am really pleased and so are all the teachers in the y6 group and for all the children who misbehave in class, learning does really pay off a lot so I do advise you to listen to whom you are being tutored by what you are being taught.

FINALLY!!!!!

Yes, the tests are over; we've been waiting for today. EVERYONE has got great results no matter what they got! Now we can finally we can sit back and enjoy because the pressure has been lifted. However, we have still got more work to complete for the rest of the year. So, much more of the working and less of the relaxing! So let party now before it's over!

Tests are over

Tests are over after 3 days and one day off. After a lot of tests and a lot of revising we moved up levels and sub-levels. After intense pressure our budens have been lifted. No more tests to bare. However we are still got lot of work to do. To do this we have to pay attention!
