year 6 first thoughts

We like the reading challenge because we think it is fun. All of our group like to do the times tables challenge because we get better levels. Our group liked when we had to do the CATS test।

Year 6k -Frst thoughts

We like the mutiplication challenge , reading challenge and the maths lessons in Year 6. We like the art lesson.

Year 6 - First Thoughts

Year 6 is more tough than year 5, because we get loads more homework, especially in maths! We also have a reading challenge, which we find quite interesting, and a new P.E. teacher. We all enjoy our after-school clubs such as football, rugby and netball.

Our challenges this year are: improving levels and targets and revising for SATS.
We feel sad that it is our last year in St. Gregory's Catholic Primary School but we are still quite happy that we will be moving into secondary school.

Our other challenges are: head girl, head boy sponsorships and going on school trips.

Year 6-First Thoughts

We like the multiplication challenge, as well as the 20 minutes maths challenge. Also the spellings are fun as well as challenging. It's difficult to be the top year in the school, because we have to be responsible, well mannered, a good model and to produce a good level of work. Mental maths tests are difficult but we manage them. The Sats tests are difficult because it is the last test we have in the primary school. We like maths because we learn new things as well as playing mathematical games. Also we like the reading challenge.

Year 6-First Thoughts

We are proud of being in Year Six because we are at the top of the school and like more of a challenge. We like playing in the nets at lunch time because the ball won't go far away it will just stay in the goal and it won't go over. None of us like Maths because it is not fun, but, we still get good grades.

All of us like P.E because it keeps us fit and we get to play games like, Rounders, kwik cricket, Dodgeball etc... those are the games we are good at playing. Also in Year Six because we get to sit on the benches in assembly.

Year Six-First Thoughts

We like art in Year 6 because it is creative, we also like music because Mr Clowes makes it really cool and enjoyable. P.E is fun because we do more things independently.

We do not particularly like that we do not get to go to our bags until the end of the day because if we leave something there we cant get it again but, we are getting used to it. In addition we dislike our desks because most of them get spoilt and the wells are not big enough.

The final thing we like is Activate because we are fit!

On Friday we had a Singathon to raise money for Rwanda and we had sponsor forms so it was quite hard getting sponsors but at the same time it was fun.

Year 6:First Thoughts

We like in Year 6, P.E, Art, Music, ICT, Design Technology, Observational Drawing also other things we do in school that is fun.
The challenges we are facing is the test we have to do during the week, homework we get every week, the multiplication challenge, spellings and the division test and how we have to do our work also the SATS TEST!
We feel like being a Year 6 person, a little bit more confident, but we get nervous sometimes because of the work and homework we get. Also how we have to give more information and discuss things.
The whole school did a singathon on Friday. Each class had to sing for 20 minutes. We all had to raise money for sponsers, also whoever could raise the most money.

Yr 6 First Thoughts.

We feel that Year 6 is challenging, because we get a lot homework and it is hard work and we have to try our hardest to achieve our goals to do well and impress our teachers;
to not only do well in life and in school. We enjoy the time we spend in Year 6 because
we not only have good friends, we have great teachers too and they teach enjoyable
subjects to learn from.We also find it fun and interesting because all of the exciting subjects that we experience; for example science experiments. We feel more confident now we're in Year 6 ;it is a lot more harder than we thought. The spellings are a lot more difficult, we only had 20 spellings in Year 5;now we have about 30.

Year 6 First Thoughts

The thing we like about Year 6 is the prefects being chosen. The challenges we are facing are times table, spellings and tests. We feel nervous to be in Year 6. The things we dislike in Year 6 is homework because we have lots of it. We are enjoying P.E because we have a funny new P.E teacher and his name is Mr Lane we are learning how to play hockey. last Friday we got sponsered to sing for the singathon, and we sang a song in French

YEAR 6 THOUGHTS

Our first thoughts in Year 6 are having very nice teachers and having fun doing our work. Also, we watched the Pope, who was called Benedict, landing in the United Kingdom. In Year 6 we get the opportunity to become a Prefect which means we have to make sure everyone is kind to each other and all of us are safe.
Our challenges in Year 6 are facing our SATS and interacting with new teachers.

Things we are looking forward to Year 6 throughout the year are school trips, achieving our targets, new activities and doing exciting projects.
Lets the supergirls shine forever!

Y6/First thoughts

Our first thoughts about Year Six are that all the nice teachers, such as Mr Clowes , Ms Keating and Mrs Goodman. We have got great teachers that will teach us all of our subjects very well also, we will be we all the challenges .
We are all raise money to help the people Africa and we will raise money many other country's and Cafod help us to do this. We will also be doing fun activities and we are going to have fun times at this school.

Year Six-First Thoughts.

Year 6 is the best, because we get to draw lots of areoplanes and spitfires and many more equipments used in World War 2 in art. In history, we are doing world war 2. We did a history homework about how WW2 started and which countries Hitler invaded. In English, we have been doing different types of genres. This was really fun, because Mr. Clowes made a little game. It was to guess which type of story genre Mr. Clowes was talking about.
Mr.Clowes is a fantastic reader when he reads exciting stories. Mr. Clowes he is the best teacher ever! Mr. Clowes is the most funniest teacher we have ever had!!!

year6- first thoughts

We like having Mr. Clowes as our new teacher, he is very funny and we think Year 6 will be fun. We think it'll be fun because its been really fun so far, we're looking forward for what is going to happen next.
Also, we enjoy helping raise money for Rwanda and being top of the school.

The biggest challenges we are facing are the sat testsCheck Spelling, harder work and more homework.

Year 6 is probably the best year we'll have and we've have enjoyed the Pope's visit and we also have enjoyed everything.

Yr6 - First Thoughts

It's been great so far in Year 6! We have enjoyed working together on our topic , Genres, in English. Homework is a challenge in Year 6, as it's often due the next day. However, the homework is quite fun. Science is fun, but we rate History higher; we love learning about World War 2! It was brilliant when the Pope arrived and changed peoples lives, and Joe and Maisie went to represent the school because they are both Head boy and Head girl. The new Prefects are fantastic at their jobs. Also, we all watched the Pope online.

In History, we have really loved learning about Spitfires in World War 2! Also, we are loving Music, and learning awesome World War 2 songs e.g. run rabbit. It is a huge responsibility in Year 6, as we are top of the school. We both love P.E, and M J is an eqsquisite swimmer.

Year 6-first thoughts

We like being in year 6, because we feel responsible for our actions. The group also love the subjects, also we love raising money for different countries. also, our group love to have a challenge, especially the cats test. Also we look forward to the school trips and activities. All of our teachers are fantastic.

Who knows what adventures we will come across in year 6.

Year 6 - First thoughts

In Year six, we think it is going to be a FANTASTIC YEAR! We like Maths because it is exciting and mathematical.

We also like Art/D.T. because you get to express your feelings in an artistic way.
We are interested in Science because we do scientific experiments.

We definitely like P.E. because we get to do different kinds of activities/sports.

Our biggest challenges are doing tests and that we won't live up to the other
expectations of the other year six's.

YEAR6-FIRST THOUGHTS

We think that Y6 is going to be a exciting year, with our CAT tests already done, nobody knows the score (except the teachers) . I like being in Yr6 because,I all like doing p.e with Mr K and Mr Lane, hes very funny. Our school took part in the visit to the Popes visit and Mr McMorrow, Head Boy and Head Girl went to see the Pope. Also, our school is raising money and we are sponsor for Rwanda it is a Sing-a-thon for them. We were excited but scared about Yr6. We are glad that we are in Mr Clowes class but we would like Ms KCheck Spellingeating as well. We think SATS Will be a challenge for for us as the work will be hard

Yr 6 - First Thoughts

So far Year 6 has been great fun. We especially enjoy History because we have learnt lots of new information such as : the 1930s and WW2. Also, English because we have learnt how to write in different genres.

The challenge we're facing is to do our homework in such little time!

The Pope visited the UK recently, as head of the Catholic Church and head of a country he has represented Christ and Rome very well. We joined him in his big assembly as we watched , prayed and sang with him online. We are also doing a Singathon for charity.

God Bless,
The Chatterboxes
