Some Chemicals May Bite!

From Soap!

On Monday the 8th, Year Six Experimented on a interesting test...

We used red cabbage water as an indicator, to identify which solutions were acids, alkalis or neutral.

Gosh! A lot of posts are about science! I'd better stop writing about science in our school! There I go again...

The Billing Pilgrimage

On the 19Th of June ,most of Year 6 went to Billing on a pilgrimage. We started by doing an old Israeli folk dance, then we had a series of workshops, including New Friend Bingo and Finding God In Music. The other schools that attended the pilgrimmage were the Good Shepherd and St.Mary's Catholic Primary School. At the end we held a mass, with Fathers Damien,Simon and Andrew, and Deacon Phillip. At the end we were all given a medal with th Icon on it. I am sure we all enjoyed ourselves very much. Thanks go to the shrine for holding this event for us from all of Team Hera!!!

Our Project On Soap

Year 6 have been trying to market a soap.

We are focusing on our presentation and TV advert.

The best in 6c so far is Rhino, Fromasabelle, Heaven and Titanic.

View images of our work here.

Advertising Soap!

On June the second year six was set with a task of making the soap a product to advertise in posters, leaflets, adverts and on the radio.

There were 8 groups in Mr C's class, there was Heaven, Rhino, Titanic, Fromasabelle, simply Fragrance, Shooting stars brave tiger soap and Olympic.

The age varied witin the groups but all the slogans were very good, here is just a few of them.

Titanic: the titanic may have sunk, but this won't let you down!

Blue Peter's Partner

This is Christyna Lynch.

Blue Peter had given a girl called Christyna Lynch, two blue peter badges the first one was the type that you see the presenters wearing and the second one is the silver Blue peter badge and this is how you could get one your self ...

All YOU need to do to become a BLUE PETER PARTNER YOUR SELF is make something like a picture or send them a letter about something you did and they send you a blue peter badge, a pass with a unique number, a letter and a booklet that shows you where you can get into for free with your pass and badge which includes
THE BBC AND CBBC TOUR.

This is what they gave me.
