Notes From Old Friends: Adam Skelding

Hello to everyone at St Gregory's!
I have really settled into Thomas Beckett, it took me a couple of weeks to get used to it and to stop getting lost !!!

There are 5 kids from St Gregory's in my class, so you definitely feel like you are among friends.

We have a really nice Form teacher, Mr Kilpin, who is new to the school too. He is the new Head of Design & Technology.

I am enjoying science, english, technology, humanities (history/geography) and food tech, I have made fruit salad, fruit smoothies, apple crumble and jam tarts and haven't poisoned anyone yet!!! LOL.

I have made loads of new friends and am enjoying all the new subjects especially design & techology as we get to use drills, saws, files and vices and I haven't maimed anyone or myself yet!! LOL. I can just see Mr Clowes & Mrs Keating shaking their heads in wonder at this.

Hope you are having a great time and enjoying St Gregorys, it is all very different here but still good fun.
Bye for now.

Caitlin Meets The Pope

Past St Gregory's pupil, Caitlin Behan, took part in the a vigil at Hyde Park on September 18th in celebration of the Pope's visit to the UK. Caitlin did a reading on stage in front of thousands of people in the Pope's presence. Well done Caitlin!

From Australia

Notes from old friends... Mr Place

Hello to all back at St. Gregory's.

It's hard to believe that at this time last year I was teaching the fabulous children in St. Nicholas' Class. So much has happened since then, starting a new life here in Karratha, Western Australia.

I have nothing but happy memories of my time at St Gregory's. My first contact with the school was when I spent time there as a volunteer, followed by my role as an LSA with Ms Keating and finally to return as a teacher working alongside the legend that is Stephen Clowes.

I had some fantastic experiences whilst at the school, working with an enthusiastic group of children and such a dedicated team of staff was a pleasure. Memories of residential trips to Norfolk will never leave me, hard work but a laugh a minute!

Best wishes to all at St Gregory's for the future.

Secondary School!!!! from Caitlin B

Notes From Old Friends....

CAITLIN BEHAN

Hi St.gregs , this is Caitlin Behan, from old y6. Well done on your sats I just wanted to do a post to say what it is like at Secondary School!

To start with you feel really small and and lonely, but then you realize everyone around you is feeling the same!

You make friends really easily, and you don't really feel like this is real, and then before you know it, it is sports day or the end of the year, and you see the new Y7s and you think, "that was me last time !"
